Indo Asian Street Eatery Mural
Stadium District, Tacoma WA May 2022
This mural was completed over a two-day timeline, during which the restaurant was closed to allow for uninterrupted work. After finalizing the draft, I had the opportunity to prime, sketch, paint, and seal the mural in the available time frame. Drawing inspiration from traditional rice fields, I incorporated warm reds and earthy tones that complemented the existing colors within the space. The mural’s primary purpose was twofold: to cover a grey wall prone to visible food stains, and to create a more intimate, inviting atmosphere in the back of the restaurant, a space often used for large group gatherings. The result was both functional and aesthetically enriching, transforming the area into a cozy, visually appealing spot for guests to enjoy.
