I spent a period of time painting murals in Southern California and Washington, using the process as an opportunity to connect with communities and build relationships through art. The work focused on creating spaces where people could gather and feel a sense of belonging. At the same time, I was struck by the beauty of the Western landscape, which I was experiencing for the first time. The diverse environments—from desert to coast to forest—had a lasting impact on my work and perspective.
