After college, and spending majority of my young life in Vermont I ventured west. First I landed in San Diego, and began doing landscaping and gardening to make some extra cash. At my first job, the client mentioned he wanted a mural. I mentioned I was a painter, and so we moved forward. After this, I spent a period of time painting murals in Southern California and Washington. Painting murals instantly connected me with community and I was able to build relationships through art. The work focused on creating spaces where people could gather and feel a sense of belonging.
